I got the impression Elstone was saying the new stadium will be about 55,000, with room to expand because he kept banging on about us not having a waiting list.

No I don't think we will today mate Robert was on SSN earlier basically saying we're in a much better financial position but we still need to work out how to pay for the stadium. Said we're close to working it out. Think the announcement will be in the next couple of months. Wish it was today though but looks positive

I genuinely think signing him would be as much to do with us trying to increase our own profile as it would with any notions Koeman has about him being able to improve our squad

In fairness, we need an alternative to Rom and we need a number 10, so he'd do a job, but he'd be far too expensive to just come in and be a squad player - he's 32 in October

Even if it was financially doable (its not) that deal would have made sense 18 months ago, not now.

I dont see this lad as having longevity. It'd be a meaningless nostalgia trip now, and a massive waste of cash.

I can see him in the next few years teaming up with his mate Dunc in a coaching role at the club too.

He hasn't specifically said a stand will be named after him, he just said his name will live on, so could be a statue or other type memorial.
