Situation vacant: Everton striker

Would take Dolberg now before his price rockets certainly one for the future.
What we really need right now tho is one at the top of his game
Dig out the Icardi video mate....frightening.
I think Icardi is fantastic but he's a little short (think Koeman is going a differently direction) and he wouldn't come here.

Fair enough; I'm assuming Giroud is a non-starter and Dzeko seems even worse than Benteke, so I've ignored those rumors.

But I can see Koeman getting in Benteke, despite my uneducated opinion against such a move.

Would rather a younger striker for sure, but if I had to choose between the two I'd take Dzeko over Benteke for two years, he's had a terrific two season with Roma, looked a very, very good player. Benteke isn't consistent enough in my opinion.

You're right Koeman will be going for a target man , Dolberg doesnt fit that mould.
Icardi was close to quiting Inter not long ago , if there was even a small percentage of a chance him coming here I would be busting the bank to do it.....fantastic player.

'Who would you choose' is always good entertainment ... but reality is much more harsh and complex. There is nothing more difficult than buying a top centre forward. Every club is desperate to have one. So you have clubs reluctant to sell, you have intense competition whenever a proven goalscorer becomes available, negotiations are complex, and you have astronomical prices. I've no doubt Walshy will be making lots of enquiries, and most of the responses will be pretty frosty. At least we're likely to be able to match any other offers, that's a great start, and the fact that we've been bringing in players like Rooney and Sandro makes us an interesting proposition. Realistically though I reckon it could be a few weeks before we get our man, and if it's any of the names on the list that we have here then we'll have done very well.
