This thread has now passed the Moutinho thread for most viewed thread in the Everton Forum

Moutinwho?

Glad he passed that Portuguese no-mark, as he actually did wear the Royal Blue shirt. Moutinho was only a wet dream at best of times. Hopefully we'll end up signing LD. Him signing a permanent deal and Arteta & Pienaar signing new deals would make this summer be as close to perfect as possible.

Sorry guys, but can't se this happen in this window, unless we sell Pienaar. We dont have money, remember?

So who would you rather have, Donovan or Pienaar?

Where there's a will, there's a way...but if I had to choose I'd take Donovan on fresh terms rather than let Peanut play this year out and leave on a free.

Don't know, still think if the right player becomes availlable for a reasonable price, we'll have a look at it. No discussion really, that LD fits that bill as the right player. Not so sure about the availlability and price though.

As for your question. Difficult really, as both bring something different to the team. If I have to choose though, Pienaar wins it for me (just).

I still think the most likely scenario is getting him on loan in January again, and then trying for a perm move next summer.

So, you mean he actually might be signing??

I need the oracle's opinion on this...

I'm guessing the master plan was to get him back on loan in Jan, but now the quotes from LD are showing the iron's hot right now. A nice little pickle. As to Pienaar v LD - I'd take 5 years of Pienaar. File that under "more room for growth."

Don't get me wrong, i would love Donovan at Everton, as much as the next guy. But i just can't see it happen ...

Anichebe showing some skills and Moyes clearly has a lot of faith in him. Don't think he will act until we sell someone.

Break the bank Kenwrong lid.

You can make it back in shirt sales and merch big time.

Definately - After the world cup Donovan is the USA's posterboy for dare I say it 'soccer' and adding him to Tim Howard in our team must give us a massive advantage over other prem teams trying to sell their cheesy wares across the pond.
