Who's side am I on here?

I like B-more but feel obliged to follow Houston for Bill.

Perks of Baltimore:

Crime (though Houston isn't far behind)
Easily obtainable hard core drugs like crack and heroin.
Close to NY, Philly, DC, and atlantic beaches
Crab cakes are very good (even though there are no crabs left in the Chesapeake bay the imported stuff is still very good)
Cool dive bars
People are cool and not stuck up and/or have their noses buried in people's backsides like DC.
Pizza places are underrated and better than in my opinion NYCs
Corrupt democrats
DC United games (1hr drive) are fun
For an east coast city traffic isn't bad at all.

Houston perks:

Oppressive soul sucking heat in the summer
Tex mex food
Corrupt republicans
Permission to carry an assult weapon to church
The best run MLS team in the country.

I like how the pros and cons are all under "pros."

point taken on the 1995 Nebraska team. Good team, no doubt. Unfortunately their collegiate success didn't translate well into the pros; not very many went on to have much success at the NFL level. You look at that '01 Miami team on the other hand, it's like a who's who of players in the NFL. I mean their backfield was Portis, Gore, and McGahee AT THE SAME TIME! I mean wow. With the exception of Dorsey, their entire offense became probowlers in the NFL. :pint:

has all the gridiron speak endeared us to our British friends?

We'll give you a run for your money :) . RFK is old and was built as a convertible stadium. So what that means for us, our stands are on tracks, and when we get going, that entire side of the stadium literally starts to bounce. So even if you're sitting around minding your own business trying to enjoy the game in peace, you become a part of our bounce.

I wish I couldve gone to Redskins games back when they played there. There's so much history in that rathole of a stadium.

Click on the pic to get the story of what happened.

I'm a WVU (alma mater) and Pitt (grew up with Pitt season tickets) fan.

I missed that doc and that was the one 30 in 30 doc that I really didn't want to miss. Big CFB fan. Loved the orange bowl where Miami played. So much history there something is missing from the U now that they no longer play there.

My business partner is a WVA alum so he's got me watching WVA Basketball. Unfortunately for you guys, I always seem to catch the games you lose (Purdue, Notre Dame, Villanova). You guys will still make a good run in the NCAA's.

Oh I know it. You guys are front and center on the telecasts and can see the bouncing start from minute one to the end of the match. You've got a very good supporters group there.

As well you should. :D You need to come down for a Dynamo match.

I didn't realize there was such a thing! Kinda like being an Everton and Liverpool supporter!

I graduated from Pitt in 1999 and grew up in Moon Twp.

Yup--it's wandered into some strange exchange of Americana.
Next we'll be talking about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches....
Apricot? Grape?
How about peanut butter and banana?

let's bring it back to Donovan for a minute. So how many matches do we have confirmed he will be with Everton, at the very least?

1) Manchester United 2/20/10
2) Spurs 2/28/10

Will Donovan still be here for the Hull match on 3/7/10?

I believe he returns to LA March 15, though I'm not certain about that.

that would mean he might be here for the match against Birmingham on the 13th!

I'll be curious to see if he actually returns to MLS on day 1 of the season, slightly before to get some chemistry in with his teammates, or if he risks trying to pull a Beckham and extend the loan a bit.
