Sir Landon Of Donovan

We do not have many "above averages premier league players" we certainly dont have anyone that is doing what Landond can do for 90 minutes, maybe Drenthe can do the business but having both of them on the pitch does give more options. I think it would be excellent to sign him permanent and given the certainty of signing Jelavic then the more crosses coming from , Drenthe, Baines and Donovan the better. I just dont think we would get someone as good as him.

i think your missing my point, yes he does a job, yes he runs at players and yes he can cross a ball,,,,, for the money he earns that is the least you can expect of him but some people on here would have you believe that he is the saviour of Everton FC, some kind of messiah sent from the gods to rain glory down on us........i dont..... i just think he is a player who does a job that is expected of him. How many teams in the top half of the prem league would be raving about signing him ??? no disrespect intended to the lad but I bet it's not many, thats why for me he is just a slightly above average premier league player.... thats just my opinion.

I think the league decide what pick he is in the Draft. They are all then placed on the back of a Bull and if they stay on over 8 seconds they progress to the next tier. Tier 2 players are then shot out of a cannon at pictures of each team and are drafted to the team they fall nearest to.

Or something

haha why wouldn't this surprise me :')

im not disputing what you say it's just personally i don't see anything stand out special about him, out of the top ten teams in the prem i don't think he would get a start at any of them ( except us) and I think it's sad that we pin our hopes on an ordinary player who is only here for a handful of games a season.

Gotta disagree mate. Against villa he was running the show, the lad's a breath of fresh air to us. He pretty much single handedly won the game for us on friday. He's the only player actually making things happen in the team atm and we are gonna miss him BADLY when he leaves.

which teams in thr premier league would he get a start at ?

im not disagreeing with you, we deffo need players who run at defences and take them on and deliver.....but... i still dont think that Landon is the player that most on here are making him out to be...... i think the americans call it "overhyped".

I see your point, to an extent. But fact of the matter is that we don't have anyone else on the squad like him and can't afford anyone like him (or afford him, for that matter). And he'd start for most of the PL, save teams like Man City, Chelsea, ManU.

Yous serious?

He's a good player. Not Messi like, but he'd get in any PL team outside say the top 6's starting 11. He'd get in the redsh*te's.

i think it's reached a point where we agree to disagree...... personally I don't rate him as a top player ....or as much as most on here. Thats the great thing about opinions.....we can all have them.

united - no
city - no
RS - NO
spurs- no
arsenal -no
chelsea-no
newcastle - no

maybe at a a few others but not too many.

Ehh, I think you should take some time and watch a few of those squads, and what they put out there on the flanks. Notably RS, Arsenal and Newcastle.
