So this looks to be the nail in the coffin (finally) of rumors of LD making a permanent move to us or anyone else in Europe.

However, there still seems to be a chance of a loan before the world cup.

He's still a good player but I don't see him walking into our first eleven any more, so I doubt he'd come to just warm the bench.

Yeah, he has the brilliant ability of bringing a squad together.

Aah well, you'd have to question his ambition - but he was a great footballer.

This is probably a bigger factor than many realise. He's probably pretty happy on the sum he's on and living at home, from a footballing fan's point of view its disappointing he's not tried to push further, but I'm sure he's 100% happy with himself, and that's number 1 priority.
