I think with the Naismith and Mirallas transfers, it makes Donovan kind of repetitive. I have always wanted him back on a perm deal, but now it seems like, for the value he would be going for, it might be better to get a younger player (ie Mirallas) who will have the same affect on the first team.
Would still welcome him back with open arms if he signed, hands down.
Why on earth wouldn't we have both? You're going to turn this down:
Jelavic - Mirallas
Pienaar - Fellaini - Gibson - LD
Baines - Jags/Distin - Heitinga - Hibbert
Howard
or
Jelavic - LD
Pienaar - Fellaini - Gibson - Mirallas
etc.
or
Jelavic - Naismith
LD - Fellaini - Pienaar - Mirallas
etc.
I don't see why having depth is an issue. Personally I think LD > Naismith, so that's an upgrade and you get all these people on the pitch you have at attacking line-up we haven't seen before.
I don't understand where the 6 british pounds figure has come from. No one knows the price.
EDIT: Plus, we have no idea with Naismith's injury history if he's going to be healthy all year. Frankly, 1 injury happens, all of a sudden we need one of those players.
