As long as you keep it out of direct sunlight it's not something you'll ever have to worry about.

I really like the Aberfeldy. Wasn't massively impressed with the Tailfire and didn't bother with Cascade. The Cardhu Gold is good but not remarkable and you don't need telling about HP.

I've seen Old Pulteney for £24 somewhere which is a mighty fine drop in my book at that price

Cracked open that Aberfeldy tonight. Made up with that, lovely dram. Cheers fella.

Got a bottle of Glenrothes Vintage Reserve from the in-laws today. Not one I've had before. Looking forward to cracking it later.

Well pleased with it. Reminds me of Balvenie Doublewood a bit, which I suppose stands to reason as they use a similar maturation process - American Oak and European Oak - and are both Speysiders.

laphroaig quarter cask is £25 in Asda. Might get a bottle to chew. Be warned it's a smokey mess of tcp and firewater for the uninitiated.

Well the ole Whisky Cabinet took quite a hit over Christmas and Hogmanay , Glenlivet 18 and 15 gone , Scapa 16 , Johhny Walker Spice Road gone, and a very enjoyable Glenfiddich 15 year old "Solara" vat came in December but didn't see it out! Fortunately some in comings , Highland Park my "go too " whiskey, Glenfiddich 12 and a very nice Ben Riach presentation pack of four miniatures covering 12 , 16, 20 years - kept 20 yr back but maybe tomorrow night if we beat Stoke ...or even if we don't.
I was really taken with the Glenfiddich 15 Solara Vat and it's on my " keep an eye out for in Tesco " list , and I'll be looking to replace the Scapa 16 too.
