Hes managing a club whos fans are the people who demand.

We are no better than a Newcastle.

We didnt get rid of Gana, we allowed him to move to follow his dreams, nobody will convince me it was the wrong move.

He was in the process of integrating Gmblammo.

Im still not totally convinced he favours 433, but considering how much 4231 is failing im sure he would like to give it a try.

Its just pretty difficult with 2 pretty vital midfielders missing.

I mean I dont want it to make it seem im defending our current form, im really not, I tend to think you mostly get what you deserve in this league, on the main and we havent deserved to win our last 3 league games AT ALL.

We had to sell Gueye. Nobody can argue we didn't. But we undersold him badly, considering it was PSG.

The first team is lacking the quality to play his system.

Is the squad lacking in quality to play any other way or is he not good enough to get an effective formation out of them? I'm starting to move towards the second option in this question.

So option A, however, followed by a quick panic as he goes B to overcompensate for not being able to effect any changes that needed doing earlier in the game.

I hope I'm wrong and he turns things around, and the squad strengthens and he can call us all cryarses, but this season he has to be under some serious pressure.

He's A but he goes to B when A doesn't work, How you stick with the same formation 3 losses in a row like it's magically going to get better I have no clue.
Let's just keep putting £100 on zero it might cost us 10 grand but it'll land on it one time.
So that is it then he is proven to have a plan B

Both. Sigurdsson column A, 424 column B. He needs to stop trying to accommodate that 45 million weight on his shoulders. Also, he throws on attackers without much regard for shape and it shows.

I do however genuinely love how he approaches the top sides. Stealing 3 points from a top side is a much better way to approach tough teams than trying to drone out 3 draws from them. That is the one area he has absolutely bang on.

Apart from that, he doesn’t fill me with any confidence whatsoever.

....I actually wonder about his tactical nous, but I don’t think he’s stubborn. Spurs at home last season was a benchmark for me, because he failed to respond when we were defensively wide open. It’s that inability during games that is a concern.

Can't see the wood for the tress, is that it Eggs?

Too inflexible to accept the helpful suggestions of innumerable online presences.

"My my, I really am in a jam. 3 defeats on the bounce, losing to Sheffield United at home... What to do? I could turn to my coaching team for some new ideas based on the qualities and limitations we see in the squad day in day out.

No, I need to think outside the box! Let's take the two million contradictory pieces of advice from anonymous yahoos posted on GOT when they should be working! Genius!

In fact, i'm gonna start picking the team based on the poll. Democracy! Silva you're a genius!"

As has been already pointed out the choices are not mutually exclusive. Silva is both, he stubbornly sticks to his beliefs for the starting 11 and tactics, when it goes wrong he panics and throws forwards at it.
He seems to lack the ability to read a game as it happens and adapt his tactics to counter the problems he faces. Most managers do.
Lacking a proper Plan B, C or D isn't always catastrophic if you have a good Plan A, Silva's main problem is that his Plan A isn't working.
