I think in order to be stubborn and inflexible one needs to be able to conceive of a different modes of play. Thus B is a more accurate description.

....I actually wonder about his tactical nous, but I don’t think he’s stubborn. Spurs at home last season was a benchmark for me, because he failed to respond when we were defensively wide open. It’s that inability during games that is a concern.
