Regardless of returning players, wee need the CM promised at the beginning of the window, and we need a new permanent striker. Minimum. Lukaku is odds on now to have finished his Everton career, IMO. He wont see hardly, if any more game time. And we wont go 20M for him.

Could you imagine Liverpool or utd just loaning players and not buying there would be uproar we might not have there money but after nearly 40mil of player sales you think money would be spent most them young lads we have loaned out most will prob start next year I have nothing against young players coming through but this will be just to save bill blue some money and the 40mil will diserpear.

As far as I'm concerned, the season is dead and buried if we dont strengthen with a bit of quality in the next two days or so. There's no way a club like ours can suffer season ending injuries to 3 - probably 4 now to all intents and purposes - on top of the usual clutch of short term injuries and any suspensions coming our way.

Martinez's face said it all last night. Losing Ovideo and Lukaku in successive games looks like it's had a hammer blow effect on him. He must be wondering wtf he does now to get the performances out of what's left in the next 15 games plus cup ties.
