There's at least 17 more games to play in this season. I would bet big money on us being reliant on Osman again quite a bit between now and May.
A loan signing would fill the vacuum we have in that position.

Got no loans left now, after Traore.
Board will be ****ting themselves that they have to spend some of the 40m we've sold.
Oh right, forgot about Big Bird.
A fee must be paid then, because the wheels will fall off this season if we have Osman getting over-run.
Mirallas and Pienaar are both better there though, we need a proper CM to cover McCarthy/Barry
Gibson cannot be trusted to stay fit.
Barry may still end up elsewhere next season.
We need a new CM.
http://myevertonnews.com/barry-visit-by-roberto-convinced-me-this-is-the-move-for-me/?When I see them they say: ‘You’d better be signing next season!’ Every time! My answer is the same every time: ‘Hopefully! Hopefully!’ That’s a genuine answer.
“From day one, the manager said: ‘I’m not going to put any pressure on you throughout the season.
“We’ll have the conversation in the summer, see how the club feel about you, see how you feel about the club and take it from there.’
“I’m more than halfway through the season now and it couldn’t have gone any better. It’s going to be a nice conversation to be having come the end of the season.’’
The question regarding midfield recruitment should always start with:
Is he better than Osman?
If yes, sign.
If no, end interest.
Pretty much this should have been our attitude in the window. A loan for a player until the summer at ACM was a priority. We haven't done that and that failure came home to roost last night.
