Fellaini was on 75k a week, as was Moyes. So if you acknowledge that we are capable of paying two people 75k a week, then it isn't outlandish to recognise that we could effectively pay one person 150k a week. Especially with the new TV money.

Rooney's wages are often exaggerated as well, I'd say they are more like 200k a week, rather than the 250k a week that some people report.

Obviously won't happen though, but that doesn't mean it is impossible.
