Also just watched an interview with Steve Bruce where he seems doubtful that they could actually convince Jelavic to move there...

said on Martinez interview that jela had agreed to sign for hull also Everton would have consulted with jelavic about offers because there were a few clubs bidding anyway most players leave when there club accepts a bid for you just because your not wanted really and its a world cup year and he's guaranteed first team football in the top division

I heard him say WE'D agreed a deal with Hull, not that Jelavic had. Just said Jelavic was given permission to go speak to Hull and decide on wether the move is right for him?!.

Totally agree with who ever above who said he'd be a fool to turn em down. I think they'll give him decent wages and they are a decent, steady team who are gradually building into a decent little side. Would be a good move for IMO.

Could be that we have enough cash for a big signing, but needed either Jelavic or Heitinga to leave to have enough for McGeady as well this window.

The "big signing" could be Dusan Tadic, best player in the Eredivisie and supposedly we've made a 12m bid
Nothing over here mate, except that we are supposedly interested a few days ago. Although I'd love to see him at Everton I can't really see it happening anymore after the McGeady capture. Both contenders for that same LM spot, or Roberto must be thinking of moving McGeady to the right and use Mirallas as the back up to Lukaku.

We're really assembling some squad depth here, aren't we?

Martinez said in his interview that signing mcgeady means he doesn't have to buy a number 9 straight away and that mirralas will be the back up striker

disgraceful if too, mcgeady isn't good enough to be a regular starter and/or mcgeady coming on for lukaku with mirallas moving up top as the lads injury prone and cant handle 90 minutes every week
