Moyes is clearly vastly superior in every way but one, reputation.

Moyes is damaged goods in football fans eyes.

Sam is a "proper football man" and will "give everyone a kick up the backside" and they'll say what a great job he did at Palace/Sunderland. The fact he destroys clubs from inside filling them with unsaleable players on hefty contracts is ignored.
