They can only have so many cameras in the ground. Having a camera perfectly in line for all offsides would either require an infinite number of cameras, or one that was mounted on a track that could move back and forth to stay in line with the last defender, exactly like the linesman does.
Total joke VAR. Corrupt for everyone who goes the game to watch Everton play. Absolute disgrace in my eyes. It's the officials.

Exactly so it doesn't work then does it. Look at the angle of the Lukaku offside goal today, it's stupid.

Whats the official offside rule?

Is it any part of the body?

If so what a joke.

No.

I swear you've been told this before that it's any part of the body that you can score with, so everything but the arm.

And that the bottom of the sleeve is where they deem the arm stops and the shoulder starts so any offside line is drawn to the bottom of the sleeve if thats the furthest part forward of the players body.

So how was Lukaku offside?

So how was Lukaku offside?

Because presumably they've drawn the lines across the screen and the top of his arm above the sleeveline, or any other part of his body was closer to the goal then the last defender.

Yeah, it looks very tight but thats the 1 thing they've been consistent on with VAR this season and thats if you're offside you're offside no matter how tight (within the tolerance level they use).

Or they faked it to make him off when he wasn't to benefit liverpool.

That's exactly what happened. It's happened a few times since VAR came in, where the attacker's feet are clearly onside, but they're leaning forward so therefore deemed offside.

Just dont understand it mate.

Its a disgraceful rule imo.

Unless your head or foot is offside let it ride ffs.

No other country has issues with VAR that i know of.

It works pretty good in UEFA and FIFA competitions.

PL it looks like it's run by buffoons.

Mike Riley is the problem for all the ills of officiating in the PL, he needs to go and give someone else a chance to run PGMOL and restore the trust in match officials.

I am sure the rule used to be any part of your body you can score with.

I.e. your hand, arm and shoulder cannot be offside.

But if that was the rule they must have changed it to include the upper extremities.

And that is just crazy.
