I honestly wouldnt be against him staying for the season, but thats just opening a massive can of worms.

Its a tough 1 for sure, 1 game does not a summer make or something.
I just fear that if he stays and does decently enough, we’ll keep him on and he’ll stink out next year. If the guy we want is there, it would be foolish not to make the move.

Great job today.... but needs to be short term. Give him the League Cup games though !
Cant give him just league cups games, its all or none, besides they are the most important.

However if he is still there and we beat Leicester, he needs to stay in chanrge and keep that momemtum going

He needs to be our next managers assistant, then perhaps. Although it’s hard to keep a lid on yesterday which was amazing, let’s see how he goes if he’s still there for Utd then let’s see how that goes then Leicester, but like previous have said if there’s a better option then go and get them. It’s clear that what he’s learning at the club and the experience he’s getting is paying dividends, a couple of years in an assistants role should have him ready for next time

Dunc already alluded to the fact that a 'world class' manager is coming in during his press conference. He's definitely given the board some time now to negotiate. My guess is that he will be in charge until the Burnley home game when a new manager is paraded before kick off.

Till the end of the year, why not? I only got the result late yesterday. It must have been cracking atmosphere, rocking Goodison. Three points, get in there

If there’s a top quality, genuinely long term and calibre guy available and can come in then perhaps cool minds must rule and Duncan should return to the staff.

however if we are scratching around not sure of who to get in, then rather than get another risky bet whom we’ll just be paying off again in 18 months I think we could do a lot worse than to stick with Duncan for the interim and see what the situation is in the summer. Let him have it game by game for the festive period and if he does ok and build upon today confirm him until end of the season early in the new year.
Why are you writing off 22 games???

let wait till the summer.. we not even half way through the season yet.

Yesterday was amazing but it was built on pure passion, and luck.
chelsea missed a few sitters, the keeper made a huge mistake.
We played well and we played for the shirt but we had 30% possession at home.
It reminded me of a Moyes team where we defended for the entire game and would concede last minute. Luckily Kepa gave us the 3rd

That’s in like 3 weeks time?
