Happy Birthday Shane Duffy

22 today, and with Heitinga looking like he's out the door and Distin, Jagielka and Alcaraz all above 30, will we see Duffy feature more next season? If not, when will he be ready?

People said the same about Leon Osman, Jagielka didn't sign for us until he was 25 I think, and defenders tend to peak later so he's still got a chance, all about getting first team games though

Ah, yeah, I hope so, heard good things about him and he obviously isn't gonna get a look in this season. Fairly hopeful of the current youth coming through to give us free squad cover/ flog them for a couple mil. But I've heard Lundstram can make 1st team.

To be honest I can't see the benefit for him of playing in a team shipping goals every week.Maybe looking to loan him to a more successful team when the first Yeovil loan ended might have been a better idea.Other Championship teams he played against must have recognised his quality.After after all losing becomes a habit as much as winning.

Playing time, winning or losing is much more valuable to him and us than him sitting on the bench today.

Also playing with seasoned pros with lundstram there as well....great experience.

Hes a RB, but its likely he will play at CB in the future.
