I think Duffy was very unfortunate that Martinez got the job here in 2013. He is a bit like Yerry Mina to me very good in the air just lacks a little bit of pace. Under Moyes he once came in did a good job then he was replaced at CB by Hibbert. He just never got the breaks.

Big Duff remains Ireland’s main attacking threat.

Real shame he didn’t get a chance here as he developed into a fine player.

Unlucky to be there as Jags and Distin formed their very effective partnership but I think he would have done well under Moyes had he stayed.
