Correct according to who ? Im fairly sure 99% of the worlds population are absolutely fine with the term 'mankind' including lots of women and trans people. Just because some screechers on social media got mad over it doesn't mean they are reflective of the population as a whole.

The word mankind from Old English did originally include both male and female.
