It would seem though the set pieces against us lead to goals and loss of points, now compare that aspect to other teams.

I still blame Moyesbfor letting Mustafi go to be quite honest with all of you.
So Everton have conceded one more goal from set pieces than league strugglers Leicester and Man City.
The distance between top and bottom in these tables is almost negligible. It's amazing how much discussion takes place over the issue.

The "set-piece kings" are 3 points ahead of us Dave, how are you not outraged by this?
If only we had Spurs' excellent set piece record we could have been three points ahead of 10th place now.
*Puts WHY ALWAYS US?! t-shirt on*
Indeed, but even in our very worst comparison (with Spurs) how many of these goals conceded from set pieces have been decisive goals in games?Or you could look at the combined figure mate, we have -5 goals on set pieces, spurs are +8, United 0, City +1, Arsenal +2, Liverpool -2, West Ham +3, Palace +6, Leicester -3, Southampton +3, Chelsea +1.
We are not a good enough team to be that far down on set pieces against basically everyone who matters mate
Or you could say 'let's look at form in another way' and just concentrate on open play goals and see Everton up there near the very top.Don't be stupid Dave, your better than that like, Spurs in 16 games have a 8 goal scored/against difference between us and them, that is absolutely huge, unless ofc you think that if we suddenly became better at set pieces it would somehow negatively effect us in other areas?
Otherwise your basically saying 'f' set pieces they don't matter, think if you go through ours and spurs games and see how many points they have cost or earned us both you'd feel a bit daft

Devil's in the detail and we could drive ourselves up the wall with such concerns. It's best left for the stats nerds.

What do we give emphasis to - set piece or open play? It seems all the media this season have gone OTT on this set piece issue.
It's pretty arbitrary.
