Time for Baines to step up?

I honestly don't think he's that good at them unless it's a straight shot where he can have a run up and blast it. He'd had a few go (when Arteta's let him) and he's hit the wall every time.

He's only scored four goals in his whole career. He should take the corners though, he's good at them, he's been taking the ones from the right hand side for a while now.

Cant say I can remember him taken one for us. I know he stands next to Arteta all the time but never hits one. I mean, Jags took one against the Barcodes with Baines standing next to him again.....

Pienaar will take em now. Then probably Ossie I'm guessing. Saha? Jo?

Not saying Baines shouldnt take one. Its just Moyes wont let him. But like when Arteta used to take all the corners, its best if we mix it up.

Now Arteta is out, we wont be as dangerous from them as we were.
I'm not sure who we have that can take even a decent free kick, or a corner.

I would like to think that DM will have picked a couple of players to take set pieces and that they've been working on them ALL week.

Baines is very good at crosses and not bad with inswinging corners but the few free kicks he's taken have been poor.
Having said that, Mikel was struggling to avoid hitting the first man from a corner not tha long ago.

Osman, Baines and Gosling can all take decent corners, and all 3 can put in a decent free kick as well.

We don't have to shoot although if we do get one within good shooting range i'm sure Jo or Saha can take a decent shot from one.

it's not like he was in artetas vein of form and is coming back, he's that good at everything there's a world eleven with just him in it cos he's been fifa's player of the year in every position.

i cringe when the "andy , andy van starts up" he doesnt deserve his name to be sang !!
