According to this Everton send out a delegation to Spain yesterday, to watch Sergio Canales.

Hope they don't get lost, just like the Lisbon delegation did.:P

I almost understood 90 % of that french there! Im still good at it then!

Heard a bit of this fellow, lets see what happens. The delegation team should have a GPS with them now :P

For anyone who never watched Revista De La Liga last when when Moyes was on it, they spoke about this lad in detail straight after Moyes was on. Basically, what they said was that his contract is expiring, however there is a mix up about who actually owns him or something along them lines. Balague said that he is reluctant to sign for Barca or Real Madrid or one of England's 'top 4' as he knows he will not get a game. He wants to sign for a big club were he will play. I've not seen any of him if im being honest, but he was being talked up as being a massive talent on the show. Has anyone seen much of him? Would he improve us and what is his best position?

Seen him a couple of times mate. Only played a handfull of games so it's hard to tell how he will develop. However he looks fekking mustard. Seems to have a role just off the main striker. Think Kun Aguero. He would improve anyone imo. In time.

Sid Lowe (the Guardian's Spanish football chap) states that Canales is about to sign a new deal with Racing, but one with a buyout clause of 10 million euro. He also suggested that its likely if he does move for the buyout it will be to Real, who will then lend him back to Racing for at least a season.

They were also very complementary about the City game, though of course it would he hard not to.

I imagine he'll eventually go to somewhere like Villareal or Atletico Madrid, or a team around that sort of level in spain.

Would be awesome if he came to us though
