It was a friendly. Who cares?? Fellaini raises his game when it matters and is easily one of our most influential players. If he goes then we'll carry on but I think it will weaken us. There were many games last season when he was the one that stepped up and got us the points, that isn't easy to replace.

Speaking of yesterdays match, has anyone watched any of the live games on evertontv on a ps3?

Yeah, I tried watching on ps3 and it looked like it was gonna work but the video never loaded so had to switch to my iPad. Bit puzzling cos I've watched plenty of videos on my ps3 *tries to look innocent*

He's been quiet in each of the pre season games we've played so far, definitely overshadowed by Gibson. Hopefully he'll kick into gear by next month.

Judging people on pre-season games is idiotic.

.... The fact Naismith got a hat-trick v Athens illustrates this.

Fellaini is decent, but I would accept any offer greater than 27m. Then we might have chance to buy one good playmaker and a good defensive midfielder.

So you say he's decent and 27 million is what you would sell him for? I would hate to think how much you would sell for good players nevermind great players:lol:

He's hit n miss, sometimes great, sometimes anonymous. Rather keep him but wouldn't be too fed up if he went, as long as it's not to the RS.

To be honest, I think the reason he hasnt left yet is because hes not worth the £23.5million (approx) release fee in his contract.

Man Utd - Carrick is a better holding midfielder for me - they need subtle creativity a la Fabregas alongside him
Chelsea - Jose says hes happy as larry with his squad apart from a 4th striker (Rooney)
Arsenal - Rosicky/Wilshire/Arteta/Diaby//Ramsey/Cazorla for 3 positions
Man City - Fernandinho, Barry, Milner, Rodwell, Silva, Yaya, Nasri, Garcia
Tottenham - Midfielders grave-yard (too many to list!)

There may be teams abroad who want him, but in the prem I cant think who above us is in need of the big man to the tune of £25mil

Dont be surprised to see him stay lads

A few months back everyone was saying they wouldn't sell him for anything under 25m. Now he's not even worth his release clause.

When he's on his game he's a £40m player. His inconsistency makes him a £20m player.

My opinion. It is also my opinion that nobody wants him unless it's for cheap(ish).

Lets pretend for a second that you can win every game by just attacking, and the opposition will simply give your he ball

Fellini is the best ball winning midfielder in the premiership by a country mile. As exciting as it might be to think we'll play every team off the park by ticky tacky'ing the ball about, there comes a point where you have to actually win the ball back. Fellini in my opinion is indispensable. We shouldn't be looking to offload one of the best midfielders in the premiership, and someone who literally is the best at what he does, to bring in lesser players. If anything we should be going out and finding the next Fellini/ Mirallas/ Baines/ Coleman etc.

If we want to finish top four, we need to keep hold of players like Fellini, and if his passing needs improving then the manager needs to work on improving it.
