Think last night had a lot to do with Ronaldo. Rather than playing for the team and making intelligent runs taking defenders with him to open up space,he did his "I'll win it on my own" act,and just kept running into brick walls.

..to be fair, Ronaldo doing his thing has probably been responsible for Portugal’s success over the last 10 years (although I think he missed games in the Euro’s). 85 goals in 154 international games is impressive.

True most times he's their match winner,but he never seems to recognise when it just isn't his day,must be really frustrating for his team mates.He's doing it more often for Real lately.

....very true, I doubt we’ll see him at a major tournament again but his disappointment at the end was a reflection of how much the game still means to him. I’m afraid time catches up.

I've got money on a France vs. Croatia final, although I'm thinking of covering myself by sticking something on Uruguay in the quarter final. Teams that win world cups tend to be those that concede fewest goals and Uruguay have been the best by far I've seen defensively up to now.
Croatia have looked a very good, balanced team so far, although I thought the same after the group stage at the last Euro's and they folded after that.

...not sure what price you have but that has to have a great chance. I’ve got Uruguay/Croatia final @ 60-1 but I think France will beat Uruguay. I think Uruguay are 7/2.

I had a big bet (for me) on Uruguay winning last night which gives me a good profit on this competition.
