Boenisch attracting interest
Premier League trio thought to be keen on Poland international

Sky Sports understands that a number of Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on Poland international Sebastian Boenisch.

Boenisch is available on a free transfer after rejecting the offer of a new contract at Werder Bremen earlier in the summer.

The 25-year-old's agent recently stated that he was considering his options after Stuttgart pulled out of the race to secure his signature.

It is now thought that he could be on his way to England as there are several clubs monitoring his situation.

Everton, Reading and Newcastle are all believed to be considering a move for the player, who is primarily a left-back but can also play on the right of defence.

Boenisch was a member of the Poland squad which failed to progress past the group stage of Euro 2012 on home soil.

Can't say I know anything about him, but could finally have backup at left back?

Or even a free replacement for Baines!

We should just buy the entire polish national team. Confusingly enough, their ethos and the usual narrative of football struggles are very similar to Everton's.

Was impressed by him at the Euros would love him to be back up for Baines. Would make us less worried about that position if Baines gets injured. Although Distin did okay when he went out to the left.

He looked good for Poland at the Euros, I would hope he'd be back up and not a replacement, he can play right-back as well.

I really hope and dont think we will sell Baines so if we was to be in for him it would be as back up and to boost numbers in the squad.

He did play well at the Euros but you cant judge him alone by that.

Pretty decent player, surely looking how thread bare our squad is and how tight money is shouldn't we be looking to sign 25 year old internationals for free, if only to bulk out the squad and sell for a decent profit a couple of years down the line ?

I thought he was pretty good during the Euro. So he can be the new RB and back up for Baines as well!

If we sign him and baines leaves (better not), we'd have a good amount of money to spend on a player in a different position.
