Lunch at the Winslow ? Really ? if you've got kids why not go the Everton school in Spellow Lane just yards from the ground. Good cheap food and kids activities. .Make sure you go in the main building not the small cafe. As for tickets you might be better on Stubhub ,the official site will only have obstructed views

Didn’t know about Everton school, will check it out! Thanks.

As for the tickets....feared as much that even as an international member, wouldn’t get any decent seats! Will check Stubhub as well.

I've always been a lower Street End lad, however, when I took my then 8 year old nephew to his first game, I decided to take him in the Upper Gwladys. As long as you don't get an obstructed view seat I think it's a great view for anyone going to their first game.

Was initially thinking Upper Gwladys, cause of the whole atmosphere- but didn’t dare hope for decent seats there!

Haven’t heard much comments on the paddock seats, so am guessing they’re worth as miss?!
Too low down. Kids won't see much of the game.
As with all visiting overseas supporters, always email the club first, as early as you can. They will help out with seats in most cases. If you are a member of the Malaysian supporters club you should appear on the database as well as your international membership.

Paddock’s our then!

Did contact the club, and was told that the best option as I was an international member was to buy the tickets during the members’ advanced sales - tomorrow. But seeing as it’s the first home game and I’m sure there’s gotta be thousands of similar sob stories totally understand why they couldn’t do more.

Will hope for the best when the tickets are available or go into StubHub.

Worst case....I’ll be back here asking which pub would be the best to watch it!

Wish me luck!

After 38 years of only watching my toffees on the tele, I’m finally going to be at Goodison for a match!

Hoping to get ticket for the family for the home game against Southampton on August 18th, and would love some recommendations.

If it’s just me....no doubts on the Street End, but will be with the kids (10 & 8 respectively), so while I’m sure they’ll be mesmerized by the atmosphere....would like for them to get a good view of the game too!

Would appreciate any suggestions, preferably before the tickets go on sale on July 17th.

Was thinking Main Stand or Paddock....any thought??

Just want to say here, this is absolutely what the club is about.

38 years of watching the blues on TV and you're finally going to hear Z-cars for the first time in person.

The majority of fans on here would pay to have that moment again - hope you and the family have a smashing day mate :)

Looks like everyone’s going to be there, and bringing along their folks, wives, kids, mistresses and girlfriends!!!! Either that or Season Tix were a sell out!

Well just to update....so will I!!!!

Ok... MS1 Row S 1-4, is probably left of the middle of nowhere - but it’s in the HOUSE BABY!

Counting on you boys in GWLADYS to raise them voices.

I’m going to have a pint or two to celebrate...cheers mates!

38 years in the making, but worth every minute!!!!

Loved how eager everyone we met was to find out where we were from and helpful. Our first home match really felt like home. And taking the 3 points was the icing on the cake - except if you ask my youngest, she hounded and got Pickford’s signature on her jersey!

They're great photos ME! Well done. Looks like a great day for you & the family!

If you can, don't be like me & not get back to another game (if you can). 35 years since my one & only game at GP.
