it has been another gr8 season under DM and we hav punched far above our weight several times over the season which has given us plenty of good times to shout about .....but

we r lookin lethargic, one dimensional with a distinct lack of ideas and i for 1 am lookin ahead with some dread at the upcoming games...i just hope we dont undone the fantastic work that has been done this season by everyone at EFC......

roll on another stint in the UEFA next season (y)

Well a season is just that, a season of games, so you have to do well right to the end to call it a good season.

I cant see us faltering too much now, we've looked lethargic of late as we have no options, soon we'll have a couple more strikers fit again to spice things up a little.

Although I admit, Arteta's season needs to end soon for him to get that odd injury out the way, we need him back as he was last season.

I had a dream that someone really unusual scored for us. Hibbert or Neville, I can't remember who exactly but it's a sure thing. My sports dreams always come true....except for the one about Sharon Davies........

I did the BBC predictor thing again today and came to the conclusion that we'd need to win EVERY remaining game just to finish level on points with Liverpool. Bring on the summer

I also came to the conclusion that Grimsby could only afford not to win one game if they are to have any chance of play-offs.

Ah well

I dont think theres any reason for pessimissm really, just take a look at the league table and how can you be pessmisstic about that? Theres a top five in that premiership and we're in it. Think how the teams below us feel.

I agree. It is a shame that injuries and tiredness seem to be taking their toll but I'm pretty happy where we are. It would be awful if we lost 5th place but I have faith that we'll get there. Can't see us getting 4th but I can't see Portsmouth overtaking us either.

I cant wait till the end of the season...even though there is no football, there are endless rumors, friendlies, transfers...and you can look forward to the new season :)

I think the end of this season isnt going to end as good as our season has gone...should be good when it ends :)

Well said Sim.

The players are in the main physically fit but, and this is most important, they are mentally drained, especially the ones who have played week in and week out, for that there is no quick fix. They need you, the supporters, more than ever at this time to lift those flagging spirits COYB

Get some backbone everybody.
We still have plenty to do this season. We need to aim for 4th but failing that secure 5th by as large a margin as possible. Do we want to be known as the "best of the rest" or the ones that will bridge the gap? Not to mention prize money and other incentives. We can win all of our remaining games, it's well within our grasp. We just need a little refocus, maybe a good result to go for us, even dare I say it, a referring decision?

I hate the seasons end! Means about 3 months of saturdays where the highlight will be shopping with the missus:(

Im still confident we can consolidate 5th place.

I'm made up we're in 5th.

But unfortunately I can't see us getting 4th. Next year though, with an improved squad over the summer, we can have a right go at the spitting, punching idiots from over the park (y)

It will go to the last game of the season, its the everton way. You can see it now the last games of the season to settle 4th, 5th, 6th.

Well be ok though we always are.(y)
