For a few weeks this summer I really believed we were finally making strides into the football elite.... It's November tomorrow and I feel we're back in the post Mike walker era..... Everton that..

I'd much prefer a more 'interesting' manager, but if it's Dyche, we're just going to have to deal with it and get behind him, regardless of how underwhelming it would be.

It's what we need until this board sorts out what direction it wants to go, the whole set up from bill and moshiri to DOF and spending big money on single players who arnt worth that money, the backroom business is a mess and it's rattled the club as a whole

In other words it's back to grinding out results and we'll try this ambition lark in couple more years

Considering the type of young English players we're developing, surely it can only be benificial to hire a British manager. No guarantees with foreign buys, even with the influx of monies still quite difficult to get to top 4. I'd like to see us continue to develop top talent as well as acquire top English talent from other clubs. If they know Everton is the place for them to hone their craft then they will come and we can be the hub for English players to shine.

An appointment of dyche Allardyce or someone of that ilk is essentially an admission from the Everton board that breaking into the top 6 is impossible therefore we will do a West Brom and employ a manager who will continually maintain our premier league status
