2023/24 Sean Dyche

Electric atmosphere. The fans got behind the players from start to finish. And for the first time in years we actually played the 'Everton way'. I would never have associated Dyche with this particular brand of football.

Was great to see a Dom getting a standing ovation as he left the pitch. That will give him a huge boost.

Fair points raised although I think a lot of his criticisms from some quarters are unfair. Garner has only played out wide whilst Harrison has been injured (Danjuma clearly doesn't track back enough for the managers liking to be playing out wide).

McNeil and DCL started the season not available, Coleman has still been out and Danjuma was also not fully fit.

Also fair to point out that we done most of our business late in which the manager hasn't had a full pre season to work out his best system / get the new players up to the standard of fitness that he expects.

Providing we avoid an injury crisis to key players we'll finish this season comfortably midtable.
What about against Luton? Danjuma has been fit for several weeks as well yet Garner still played out wide.

Literally only played 2 games where we haven’t had a CF available.

The manager should know his system and players are brought in that fit the system. He had a full preseason. Aside from a handful of players, they should all know the system.

We will have to beat some good teams for him to win the goodwill back. Judging by some of the performances it is very possible but we have to avoid giving away cheap goals and consistently create chances. It will be rough for a bit fixture wise. Let’s see how many points he can win/steal.
