We are better than that though. Don't think Dyche is though. He is a one dimension manager. I thought he may change his ways when he came to us but he is just continuing in his same way. I remember him on talksport saying he has been put in a box because of his style at Burnley but he has more to offer. I think he is still in his box and doesn't know any other way to manage.

I just think you’re on a wind up now mate. From Palace, Ipswich and Newcastle you reckon 3 or 4 pts from those games would be acceptable. So, that would be 8 games played and 4 or 5 pts from a possible 24 pts would be acceptable enough to keep Dyche in a job?

We made very poor start, so to expect 7/8/9 points or so from the following 3 games is unrealistic.

I think we'll get more, but Ild accept 3 or 4 from 9 available.

If we average that - 3.5 points - from every 3 games this season we'll get to safety. So yes, that's acceptable.

Do I think we'll get more? Probably.

I think people have forgotten the mess we're in.

17th each season is our target. That's it. Full stop. If we get higher then that's great. But Dyche was brought in to ensure we stay out of 18th/19th/20th spots at the end of the season...and I doubt there are many Evertonians who think we'll be in those places come May.

The feller has proven he can get us safe. Mess with that and we gamble with our PL future. That is my take on Dyche.

The big issue for us is when he leaves here in May/June next year. The choice of replacement will be crucial.

I wouldn't be surprised to get maximum points.....that is how Dyche is. Then I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't win a game in 10 attempts after that.....that is how Dyche is

I remember a Burnley fan on this forum when Dyche signed. He stated that Dyche won't lose lots of games on the spin - he can stop the rot in that respect; but dont expect a winning streak either.

That was spot on as a projection.

It's also why he'll keep us safe for the third season running, btw.

But he just makes it harder for himself. He cannot get consistency it is all fits and starts. I just think he is slow on the uptake
