Honestly why do people persist in criticising Everton players as if the last two years have nothing to do with Martinez. Most our players have looked bad under the tactics of Martinez. Especially our defenders. We still have great players and Coleman is one of them.

A great player can shine in any system.

That said I dont even think Coleman has been that bad. He just hasnt been has good as he used to be. He is still young enough. Realistically he should be one of the players we are looking at building around. He will never be a great defender but he is a great attacking full back who offers an awful lot when fit and on form. People forget he has had a lot of niggling injuries the past few years too.

Coley is ace. Just get some decent backup to push him even further. I'd also give him the armband this season. Looking forward to seeing him play, and also a (finally) fully fit Baines.

It seems some journos and "sources" did not get the memo: we no longer need to be concerned about "offers coming in" for our players. We are no longer selling our best players: we don't need to financially, Mr Moshiri has pledged to strengthen our squad and keep the best players.
Forget the old Everton, unable to resist offers for the top players (Moyes: "I was frightened Sir Alex was going to tell me he was taking one of our players"). Those days are behind us, it's a bright Blue future!

Proves absolutely nothing, one good moment doesn't make a player. He's a good player but cant cross or shoot, broken clock is right twice a day.

God I have to wonder about some people he was bought for what 70k easily get 10 or more million for him he played under one of d worst defensive minded Everton managers in history and he had injuries give the lad a break ffs.. Move on next story!!!
