I like him and think he is a very loyal servant to the club and one of our most important players over the past decade, but I’m confused by all the plaudits he is getting for inspiring the team to fight to save us.

Agreed. Keane’s piledriver and a couple of our Brighton goals better than half of them. Sons was rubbish. Just because he hadn’t scored for 26 years doesn’t make it a good goal. Weird. Gray’s by far the best top corner beauty, but bound to go to Gündoğan.
we need a replacement for Coleman but Garner is wasted at RB, he's a proper baller
He's aggressive, he moves forward and carries the ball excellently and he can put a cross in.
I agree with his attributes, but he finds space in midfield, he accepts the ball then has space to pick passes, he played a game recently (cant recall which sorry) where he didnt touch the ball much in the middle but he marked the space and stopped their midfield from coming through that space. He puts himself about so I think you're not correct on his physicality. He's a real steal, we will see him kick on next season with hopefully a goal scorer to pick out
to be fair to @davek he was terrific there but he's a proper midfielder and he could play well in many positions
