Did the same with Jagielka, allowed a good servant to soldier on as a shell of a player until they start to ruin their previous good service.

You get the odd player like Gary Neville who has standards and holds their hands up. If the player doesn’t do it though, the club has to have standards and make decisions for them. The club simply shouldn’t have let it get to this situation.
Spot on this.

Been a cracking player for us over the years. The fact he’s still having to turn out years past his best is a complete dereliction of duty from the recruitment team. A well run club would have invested in a young full back 2/3 years ago who could learnt the ropes from a wise old head in seamus and would have now claimed the RB position as his own.

This is a direct quote from salah after the game

“I expected him to do a mistake which he did,"

I would be embarrassed if someone said that about me.

The fact Benitez continues to play Coleman knowing that he is a liability is baffling especially after his post match interview today saying they have to stop making mistakes. How about you stop playing the same old crap players every week Benitez who keep making mistakes.

Spot on mate.

He's always had issues technically. It is just who he is as a player. He could get away with them because he had the physical attributes, desire and to a reasonable extent could read the game defensively. The physical stuff is gone and it has made him very limited.

This is the correct approach.
What is happening now undermines all of the solid service he has given the club over the years and he will end up leaving being thought of badly, instead of a decent player who was once very useful for us.

I feel so bad for him.

It's like watching what happened to Howard but worse.

He should be easing his way into retirement now, not being tasked with being a starting player in a Premier League side. This club has failed him and he doesn't deserve it.
You’re talking like these 2 are legends at the club and were part of a successful team. Both mid table journey men.

Coleman been here all his career and Howard got sacked by the greatest manager in the history of the game after one season

The worrying thing is, anyone with eyes could see he was finished at premiership level at least 3 years ago, apart from those tasked with running the club. They extended his contract.

We can only hope Seamus will be reflecting this morning & decide it’s time. Free transfer to celtic or something.
