They did and most teams do target our right side but I think he stood up well to the task today. We know on another day he could have been rinsed but can’t really fault him today. I’m still picking him over Kenny until (if) Patterson steps up.

well he should when the only other option is kenny , he was sufficient today but the problem with seamus is gets haggard after a run of games and starts to become a defensive liability. the occasional start is fine for me

He isn’t as bad as many make him out to be and can still put in shifts. Definitely need to bring in a starter though ASAP. Fullbacks are too important to put off as we have.

Seamus is a man of 34 years of age, he is not going to be able to produce displays like today week in week out, the club have failed to replace him in a timely manner but there a those on here who blame him for it. Seamus Coleman is an Everton great, he has been an absolute star for the club down the years, it is not his fault he is getting older. I would appeal to those who criticise him to place the blame for the issues at right back where it belongs, all those who have been in charge and failed to bring in a right back that can play regularly. Stop blaming the player who is going out and putting his reputation on the line to serve the club by giving all he has left.

He's been awful for a large part of the season. Let's no rewrite history over a good win, let's enjoy the win but remember there's a reason we are fighting relegation: the team is terrible.

I absolutely accept how bad this team has performed. However, the amount of abuse on individual players is dreadful.
