Great servant. Finished as a starter. Possible squad player at most. Never never never a captain.
He fails to demand more from his teammates and has been a consistent part of recent years when everton passion and spirit has been rightly called into question.

I'm not doubting his own spirit but his ability as club captain to demand more from his team over the last number of years during mat hes when it's clear to all watching there is a serious problem there.
