Friendly, little old Everton again.
Sick to death of it.

Instead of playing the therapist, put your time to good use and practice the basic fullback skill of crossing a ball that you've still not mastered.

Waste of space.

A waste of space for consoling an opponent who is obviously distraught over an accidental injury? Get a grip of yourself.

It was a reckless and needless challenge nonetheless. It’s reckless caused this injury.

Son deserves no sympathy.

Needless yes, but a challenge will happen in a game in midweek or next week or any time down the line and won’t cause an injury that severe, it’s a freak occurrence and it’s unfortunate that it’s happened to one of ours

I tackled a lad in school that fell over awkwardly and broke his arm and wrist. I felt horrendous after that. Was a hard tackle but no one goes out there to injure another player.

Unfortunately there are a few that do go out to injure other players but they are the lowest of the low. That obviously wasn´t the case today. Any fans having a go at Coleman are just lacking in any basic empathy. I actually feel sorry for them if that´s how they live life.

Nice Everton. Ever so nice.

Not won a tin in 20 odd years. Inoffensive, nice Everton.

I don't think our failure to win a trophy has anything to do with our club captain showing a bit of empathy today. Probably more down to our players just not being good enough.

Why is it so bad one of our players shows some compassion to a distressed opponent? Son seems like a lovely lad and definitely wouldn’t have wanted to injure Gomes otherwise he wouldn’t have reacted that way.

Would you rather he just stood there and yelled abuse at Son? Because if so you’ve got issues.

I think it’s very very weird people are outraged that our players have the capacity to show empathy.

What a weird bunch some of our fans are.

stinks of “i wanna be outraged by something! Anything! - Coleman looked at my bird !!!!”

I can understand why people are annoyed Coleman went to console Son. In my opinion, son is to blame.
He was intending to cause harm to Gomes. Son waited, out of position, around Gomes, waiting for the ball to come gomes’s way. The first act he does after the previous incident between them is to lunge in wildly when the ball is gone, not attempting to win the ball, and to take out Gomes. I see no other conclusion that son was going in to hurt Gomes. Maybe not snap his ankle, but certainly to hurt him.

So when the club captain goes and consoles this player, it may not sit right with people. I don’t mind either way, but I can see why you’d be annoyed.

Did you act the same way when this happened as an example? Pretty sure you probably cheered, gloated and didn’t vilify Kev for a reckless career threatening foul. It’s swings and roundabouts.

To be fair, that was because Suarez deliberately injured mirallas the previous match played with a shocking challenge. Mirallas wanted evens.
