Yes it is.

I'm sure the United Nations is a reliable source then?

Just to add, using the word "Irish" as a modifier is not racist. Such as "John is Irish".

But adding negative connotation is, because it's implying that the negative attributes are due to his/her nationality.

Nationality is not a race mate. Period!

Calling someone an English pr*ck is not racist. So why calling someone Irish is racist I don't know.

End of the day, no matter what you quote. Being English,Irish or Scottish does not fall under race so abusing someone because of their nationality is not racial discrimination. Ethnically discrimination yes.

As I've said the word Racism is banged around far too much.

Way to completely not understand the bloody point.

Calling somebody an 'Irish prick' isn't racist. Saying 'all Irish people are stupid' is.

A 'race' can be defined by geographical place of birth just as much as the colour of your skin.

How is it any less racist to have a go at a black person than an Irish person ? The person is black because they were most likely born to African parents whose ancestors' skin turned black as a result of more exposure to the sun over thousands of years as a result of living in certain areas of the world. You're attacking somebody's geographical ancestry via the colour of their skin if you attack a black person for being black, same as you are if you accuse somebody of being stupid because they're Irish.

You're splitting hairs and you're not even right about it.

Wrong. race is defined as physical appearance. Do your homework.

Ethnicity
Definition: An ethnic group or ethnicity is a population of human beings whose members identify with each other, on the basis of a real or a presumed common genealogy or ancestry.

Race Definition:
The term race refers to the concept of dividing people into populations or groups on the basis of various sets of physical characteristics which result from genetic ancestry.

Il say no more, I don't need to add anymore. None of those tweets are "racist"

Irish are different racially anyway aren't they? They're Celtic (No not the nhobs in green up in glasgow) which is different to Anglo like most English are?
So it kinda could be racism in that sense. I dunno.
