[Poor language removed] the league I wanna medal, I wanna see that open top bus. I wanna be proud, rest him for both games.

bench for hull not an option?
if he gets to play a derby game, i can only forsee a card anyway. so he will at least miss one game.

Hull is more important than the Liverpool games?

Are you on a fishing expedition here? :P

have you been playing too much fifa :P? 3 points is 3 points, i say don't start him against hull, but play him the minute things start going badly (even if we have to bring him on before half time)

as for the league game against liverpool, lets wait and see how the team manages without him against hull, if we falter then play him in the league and tell him to keep it clean.

I think we can do Hull without the big Fell. They're bubbles burst and they're playing away so the crowd should be our 12th man to put the shits up them.

Problem is....I dont think Anichebe's fit. He looked very laboured against Macclesfield, even picked up a knock. Hopefully he'll get better for the Hull match. But even then....why not play Ossie back into his normal position and stick Gosling out on the right, pushing Cahill back to striker?

Rest Fell for Hull. I want him to play for the league game so we can put a spanner in the works for their title hopes. If not, at least knock em out the cup. We will get something from either one of those games IMO.

And who knows, we might have a new striker by time the fa cup game comes round.

I dont think we should put any restrictions on him, if he gets suspended he gets suspended.

The level of consistency he is showing for such a young player is immense the only way is up. With Gosling coming in to the first team picture it offers us one or two extra options.

I told you all, when he 1st signed, best player in the world in 2 years, lids like Cal and toccytit where like "No way man, hes [Poor language removed]", but i told you, the lads gonna be bigger than Messi and Kaka.

I belong to Fellaini.

I think we can beat hull without him, and if he helps us to beat Liverpool then that'll be best, as the morale boost from winning a derby can really help us for the rest of the season

I'm more worried about Lescott being a booking away from a ban...

I'd play them both, but haul them off once we've (hopefully) put the game to bed reasonably early... Also may check on who's reffing...

Also, I'm not 100%, but I think suspensions don't come into play for 7 days, so even if he got booked in the 1st derby, he'd be ok for the 2nd because it's only 4 days later...

I would play him against Hull then pull him off when the match looked reasonably safe, BUT it is a worrying state of affairs when we are so concerned about one player being missing for the derby match and the affect it has on the team. Everton are 11 men on the pitch, not one and derby matches are a divverent kettle of fish.

if he's suspended in the league, i think his suspension could only take place for a league game, not a cup game.

Back to the bit about the suspension not coming into force for 7 days - I've found a bunch of recent examples.

Scott Parker, Gavin McCann, Julio Arca & Andre Oijer picked up their 5th yellows on boxing day, but were ok to play on the 28th.

They were then suspended for their respective FA Cup matches a few days later.

Whereas Gretar Steinessen and Stephen Ireland picked up their 5th on the 28th, were clear to play FA Cup and are now suspended for this weekend's fixture.

99% sure he can play in the FA Cup tie if he's booked in our league derby - he'll just miss Arsenal & Man Utd instead... Not sure that's better!...

Yes. For picking up 10 bookings you get a 2 domestic game ban coming in to affect 7 days after picking up your 10th booking.

Either way if he gets booked at any point in time within the next few weeks he will miss some vital games for us.

But as pointed out Lescott is on 4 bookings so if he picks up a 5th he will get a 1 game ban starting after a week.

So he could miss the rs league game if he picks one up against Hull.

Which will leave us buggered in defence if Yobo isn't back.

Who would fill in at cm with Jags? Rodwell or Neville i'm guessing. Not what you want in an anfield derby.
