Best live band in the world, probably - based on the half dozen or so times I've seen them - though they've been pretty crap since Kevin Shields left. We actually had tickets to go to see them play Screamadelica at Olympia in November but we didn't go. We'd both had really awful weeks in work and couldn't be arsed but really I suppose we're just getting old.

Not into the Smiths so I couldn't bask in the love going on there, however I shall dig out the cd and play it later.

I love Screamadelica, it's an absolutely amazing record, but I still think Primal Scream's "Slip Inside this House" is a butchery and the worst track on it by a country mile.

"Higher than the Sun", best track for me, followed by "Damaged".

Oh, and "Don't Fight it Feel It".

I actaukly really like PS's version of Slip Inside this House but yeah, Roky still owns the song.

As for favourites on Screamadelica, it's hard to choose. It's one big ecstasy trip, isn't it? It kind of functions as a whole for me.

They're on at the Brixton Academy tonight, I see...

Me too. I haven't seen them for about five years now. Last time I saw them was at the Brixton Academy and they tore the place up. Everyone was on one and up for it. I saw them in a tiny place in New York once. That was special.

They've been really hit and miss the half dozen times I've seen them, varyingly mindblowing, awful or just dull. Not seen them in like, 10 years or something though. Whenever XTRMNTR was being toured.

An album frankly any band would struggle to match time is indeed marching on 20 years..

Only saw them the once around the time of this album (maybe earlier) they where frankly awful i can clearly remember thinking Bobby left Jesus and Mary Chain (i was a big fan saw them a few times in the '80s) for this crap?
