Scottish football

I support Everton Carlton and Montreal Canadiens. The first two haven't won anything since 1995, and Montreal ain't won anything since 1993.

So i think your glory hunting argument doesn't really fly tbh.
I don’t recall mentioning any names but if the cap fits Corky.
Who are Everton Carlton? never heard of them, perhaps you should stop worrying about paragraphs and concentrate on simple commas.
Like a broken clock is correct twice a day, if you support as many teams as you do, now and again one of them will get a decent result and when Rangers win it's the only time you crawl out of the woodwork.
Would be nice to hear your views when they drop points as we do from the other Rangers supporters on here who actually go to the games and understand Scottish football instead of one who reads books and thinks quoting them makes him an expert.

As a youngster in Dublin it was natural to favour Celtic. As I have aged I am happy to just enjoy the football without politics or sectarianism.

I really would love to see Hibs being successful.

Shamrock Rovers fans these days have no political chants unlike the 70s and 80s which is welcome.

Still have idiots throwing flares and fireworks. They really make me angry.
Believe it or not my Grandfather came from Dublin and my kids between them support both Rangers and Celtic, don't have any time for the sectarian stuff that goes with both the Old Firm teams tbh but it is what it is if you grow up in Glasgow, it's part of the territory I'm afraid!!
Nice to see you recognising and praising the Rangers performance from a purely football point of view. ?

Mate, my best mate is an East Belfast Glens Loyalist. 35 year friendship, longer than I am married, I respect any genuine soccer or other sports fan.

Probably more difficult with Bohemians but then big Hughie is a major Evertonian :)

Expected result from Bodo/Glimt v Celtic, that tie was lost at Celtic Park. Rangers v Dortmund was a really good entertaining watch. Shocking decision by referee(s) to chalk off their third. I was laughing my head off at that. Morellos is a frustrating player to watch. Only likes to do the dirty work when his team is going forward. Kent was excellent.

It would be good for Scottish football if Rangers went all the way, maybe bad for George Square monuments but great for co-efficient rankings.

Yep, place was bouncing(literally!) one of those great European nights at Ibrox. Haven't seen a replay of disallowed goal yet, but looked fine from where I was sitting!!
But beating Dortmund over two legs is impressive to anyone except the bitterest(?Div??) wouldn't mind getting West Ham in next round tbh.

Just need to stop throwing away points in the league now???
Going to be an interesting last few months of the season!
Have you seen the replay of the disallowed goal yet? Terrible decision.

?He's right though!! Don't get why the ref was only shown two views of the incident, when the TV angle from behind clearly shows the defender booting Alfie's calf!! ?
But I'll take the draw!
Me too. To be honest, I thought we would get beat last night and it would be a matter of keeping the score low enough to still get through.
That has to be one of the worst VAR decisions I've ever seem.

Yeah, was puzzled at the game why he disallowed it, they don't show replay in stadium so when Germans were going nuts protesting about it thought Alfie must have clipped him, saw it on highlights when I got back and as you say shocking decision not only that it was the wrong call, shocking why VAR only show the two angles to ref when the TV one from the rear clearly shows what happened!!! what is the point of using VAR if they don't give the ref ALL the views available to him so as he can do what they say VAR is all about???

The ref should have gone with his original decision. The problem with VAR is that it immediately puts doubt in the minds of the ref when they ask refs to review their decision. You could see the ref didn't actually want to make that call. I was also baffled how he wasn't only given a couple of angles which were clearly not good enough to overrule his original decision.

Yep, totally agree with the putting doubt in ref's head, they must have access to all the TV angles surely or what is the point of it if not?
Mind you maybe VAR was being operated by a few of our errr... incompetent ref's up here, that would explain it!! ?
Anyway glad you enjoyed Rangers performance last night and pity(not!!) that your predicted 4 goal victory for Dortmund didn't materialise!! ?
