Rangers last night showing how you
“rope a dope” the corporate football institutional clubs of the modern era.

Dortmund play in a league that UEFA deem should have four participants from their division in the “ Champions League”.

Rangers are champions of their nation. They should have been validated the opportunity to exemplar our status in the champions league group . Instead we had to justify our position by coming through. Champions league qualification rounds during the post season.
An obstacle to hazardous , with no inditement of the players or management.

Tonight Rangers played an innovative system of football that was masterly. Against an opponent who were spoiled by their inclusion into champions league group phase without qualification , even though they came fourth in their domestic league.

They were knocked out of the elite champions league and dropped in to Europa league, To face the mighty Rangers.

This provides a financial disparity on that exceeds financial fair play.

The champions of Scotland , hammered the “protected ones “, the fourth placed team in the German league.

Rangers won , so did football. It’s a disgrace that the champions of Scotland have to overcome hazardous elimination qualification rounds to participate in the Elite Champions league.

I maintained this view fir Celtic too. It’s just plain wrong.

Financial fair play is smoke and mirrors

Young Manager, knows the league, has built a decent team at St Mirren on a small budget, realistically is the best option that they could afford that can get them back on track quickly(which is what they need to do before they end up in a relegation fight)
Who were you thinking would've been the imaginative choice?
I dunno. Someone we've never heard of!
I'm just nostalgic for the time Dons used to give the OF the runaround.

What was more enjoyable, beating Rangers in 1998 or humiliating Hibs in 2012?
1998 wins hands down for me. For someone of my generation and possibly the generation before me there was a feeling that we might never see our club win a trophy. And for any Hearts fan who lived through the agony of 3rd May 1986 it was an incredibly emotional and joyous moment.

So 1998 for me. However, if you were to flip that question and ask: which of those two would you be willing to lose?… ?

Don't know how we didn't win that in the end, but Utd deserved the point for an unbelievably determined and disciplined defensive display in the second half.

Our finishing was poor today and we didn't match Utd's desire in first half, gave away a poor goal and from then on if you do that up there you know they'll dig in when they've got something to hold on to, in the end that's how it panned out!?

Definitely a case of after the Lord mayor's show, result wise.
But all things considered a very decent week for your club.

I was impressed when VB was not drawn into a debate about VAR during a post match interview, they probably would have had at least one penalty with the assistance of technology.
I feel sorry for the refs up here, they are on a hiding to nothing and it's obviously frustrating for managers.

We can't go counting the chickens yet, but Rangers are in a great position here. I really hate Dortmund due to the Klopp connection as well!

I am in a very triumphant mood right now, and easily offended Celtic fans can look away.

But nights like tonight reaffirm my defiant and passionate belief, that this is the greatest scottish football club that ever was and ever will be.
Yes mate a draw at manageress and mighty Dundee United, great result for the greatest Scottish football club that ever was and ever will be.
