Neil Lennon: The Man Who Lost The 10

That will be his legacy for the short-term

Maybe that will change in the long-term
Not sure about the notoriety of 10 will be placed on his head.
Frugality has always been Celtics Achilles heel.
The boat should've been pushed out to nail the 10,for them.
They and their fans could've dined out on that for at least 10 years, so too speak.
I'd be very surprised if Moyes would return home, his stock replenished, if he was out of work, maybe.

I'm thinking who is the cheapest option and John Kennedy stands out to me.

It's a double win really because if he does well in his caretaker role he'll become a popular choice and still be cheap.

If he is overwhelmed, the job being too much and loses or draws most games, he may not be as popular but will be even cheaper.

Unsurprisingly he's the big favourite so no point on any money on him. Oddschecker have him at a best price of 7/4 but as short as 4/5 elsewhere.

It's the can't lose choice.

They'll try for Davey Moyes now he's got the hammers going places.

He obviously has big Celtic loyalty so you never know, but what a backward step just as he's got his career right back on track.

He can't take one step forward followed by seven steps back and has to stick with what he's doing well, which is his current job at the London Stadium.
He would have walked over hot coals for the Celtic job a couple of years ago but he's got his career on track again and deffo isn't going to take such a big step back and such a massive drop in wages.

I dont think he would take it, not after he went to United and it backfired, he will tred carefully.

United and Celtic are leagues apart tbf.

Celtic have huge potential and would be massive if they had access to the huge millions of TV money English clubs have which dwarf even full houses at massive stadia every other week.

United are one of the richest clubs in the world and have been for a long time, they've arrived.

Celtic are all potential to be big one day if only they could get their hands on the TV millions (they'd have to leave the Scottish Leagues) - until then they've nowhere near arrived.

It's millions from TV versus a pittance.

Moyes was at a club who HAD that already, I agree on him staying at West Ham as even they are steeped in cash compared to Celtic.

A 5 million deal is a big transfer fee for Celtic to pay, it's equivalent to paying an agent's fee for United to facilitate a massive 150m transfer deal - the difference is unreal.
