In 2015 Aberdeen finished 17 points behind Celtic. In 2016 they finished 15 points behind Celtic. In 2017 they finished 30 points behind Celtic.Although to be fair they finished a mere 9 points behind Celtic last year. But it's not as if they have pushed Celtic, all the way to the last day.Right okay McInnes won a scottish league cup. beating the mighty Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the final. His Aberdeen side got smashed 3-0 by Celtic in the 2016 scottish league cup final. They lost 2-1 against Celtic in they 2017 Scottish cup final. And they lost yet again against Celtic, in the most recent scottish league cup final.

Oh yes it would be hard to run Celtic close in the league, these past few years. But cup finals are one off occasions.Anything can happen on such an occasion. But Aberdeen have now failed to deliver, in three succesive cup finals against Celtic. As i say he has done a reasonable job.But his "achievements" have been overstated by people.

You've just proved yourself what we're saying McInnes is the second best manager in Scotland no one else comes close, one of your teams Rangers Newco went all guns blazing to get him and arrogantly thought they had the deal all sown up.
McInnes saw them off good and proper basically jilting them at the altar and you cannae take it and have tried to write off his excellent work with Aberdeen.
Grow up and get over yourself 'Let it go' and stop becoming obsessed with him, if he didn't matter you wouldn't go on about him so much.

You stayed up all night to think of a comeback and this is the best you can come up with? WTF makes you think Rangers where tired in comparison to an Aberdeen side who ran their socks off on a Hampden pitch on Sunday and ran Celtic close in a hard fought cup final.

Every other manager is falling short in cup finals against Celtic at least he is getting to a few.

Why is McInnes overrated? he is running Aberdeen on a shoestring budget yet has managed to have them runners up to Celtic 4 out of the last 5 years including last year when they finished above Rangers in the league who were chucking money at their squad. How is 5 good seasons an isolated event up against the dominance in Scotland of Celtic?

You know absolutely nothing about Scottish football, but admittedly you are great entertainment.

Why don't you try confusing an Ajax forum you might get away with your wham there.

Pow!

Celtic 4 Kilmarnock 0 at half time, big message getting sent out here.

Unfortunately there is , was hoping killie could maybe manage a draw. Ultimately for all the talk by many of us , me included , of a potential challenge from a couple of clubs it seems likely that it’s fallen to the wayside before Christmas.

Despite the Aberdeen result I’d expect rangers to probably run them closest but I’m not sure it’ll rate as a challenge.

Morton 1 v 1 Dundee Utd

Dundee Utd should've had the game done and dusted by half-time and would go on to rue their missed chances. Proverbial game of two halves ans two substitutions on the hour mark were to prove decisive for the 'Ton. Would've taken a point before the game and in the end, we deserved the point we got. Xmas day out with the boy, some pals and some family, great day out
