Why not Mike? Not a big fan of the big clubs these days myself but I enjoy football and lived up here for 46yrs going to watch my local teams at all levels and I enjoy the 'Banter' on here.
If you have a look closely it's a Scottish football thread on an Everton forum, so it's pretty simple to me if it upsets you so much don't visit it.
There's loads of Everton fans up here and they're not further attached to one particular Scottish club as is witnessed on here.
There's a thin line between love and hate but their love of Everton is what binds us together, the likes of @laudo9 and @The Celtic View love each other really.

I can't stand this annual Merchant City thing.
The first time it was just something that happened off the cuff, but now people just do it every year. It attracts some drunken neds.
I don't know what the answer is. Maybe if the club put on some kind of event at the Glasgow Green park it would leave Merchant City, and the rest of the city centre, clearer for people who just want to go out and enjoy themselves on a Saturday night?

They already know that most Scottish fans support a Scottish club and have a favourite English team. On this forum that team will be Everton.
I have never, and will never, claim to support Everton anything like as much as I support Celtic, but they have been my favourite English team since 1970, when Everton were 1st Division champions and the wee glory hunter in me took a shine to them, and I asked my dad to get me the yelow and blue away kit.
Some people on the forum clearly like Rangers, and they seem to be raging about Celtic winning and accuse Celtic fans of being Koppites.
It would appear it's alright for them to post on the Scottish football thread, but not Scottish folk, or even sassenachs who live in Scotland.
