Billy Davies. He is a former Rangers player, and he did a decent job at Nottingham Forest. He would generate a real us against the world mentality, and that's how they like things at Ibrox.Rangers are at their best, when they feel that the world is against them.So yes i do think Billy Davies would do a good job, if the board are looking to replace Graeme Murty in the summer.

Billy Davies lollollol, he's a bigger f@nny than you are. At least he's actually seen them play, when did you last see them play again? Has yer Mammy let you out of your bedroom yet? Idiot.

Tommy Sheridan as his number two , or more likely number three ?

Well done Corky great to have you back onboard my ribs haven't been exercised for a wee while, despite Murty doing a half decent job with a bunch of numties you continue your mission to replace him with a string of suggestions who wouldn't get an interview at East Stirling.
Billy Davies is an absolute relic from the past whose caused bother at every club he's managed, the fact he's been out of work for so long tells it's own story, we await the next installment with baited breath,Ron Atkinson?Gazza? Jamie Carragher? Keep them coming it's the best entertainment since @Ashtonian

whats it like walking around cork with a rangers shirt on ?

Murty has done well but I suppose Rangers will be looking for a more high profile manager.

Lennon Joke aside I think murty has done well but he also seemed to be lacking when Celtic went down to ten men. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets the job , if he wins the semi/cup he might well do otherwise it could be a coin toss . As to a replacement manager that’d certainly be a tough call , Steve Clarke has done a brilliant at Kilmarnock and I’d wonder if it’s ebough for him to make a shortlist ? Perhaps his alleged Celtic affinity would rule him out

If Rangers cared to dip into the English merry-go-round at the end of the season they'd find plenty takers, I'm sure - if they could afford them.

Pardew? Er.........Allardyce? Too much like hard work for him I'd imagine!

My thoughts exactly @Redstarrob . If Murty isn't going to get the gig, Rangers need to bring in a forward looking manager, not some dinosaur who would only halt the progress that's been made since Murty took over.

The problem is that the only managers they can get in that bracket would not be the big name signing that would appease the fan base. They ideally need to get someone from abroad or the English lower leagues who is a progressive coach, and then the fans need to give him time to get things cooking

Rangers are at least 2-3 seasons away from mounting a proper challenge to Celtic, yet some of their fans are still demanding money be spent and big name players/coaches be brought in. Rangers may have comparatively more money than most of the league, but that's still not a patch on what Celtic can afford to spend. What they need to do, unpalatable though it may seem, is accept that things aren't going to change overnight and that they'll have to suck it up as Celtic keep winning these titles

There is no quick fix, no oligarch in the wings prepared to buy the club. They need a long term plan. They need to pick someone and stick with them for a bit. They're never going to get relegated, so they can afford to commit to a plan and see it through. Heck, let Murty get a full pre-season under his belt and give him a bash at it next year. The players seem to be turning up for him, let him see how far he can take it
