I don't know much about Benny Lynch. I was under the impression he was a working class hero, who had a bad drink problem. These accusations are completely new to me.

Some people have said he assaulted the children, rather than sexually assaulted them. Not that physically assaulting children is anything less than horrendous.

Either way, it's got to be put down as a bad error by the GB. They should have researched him. I don't think a man who assaults children should be displayed on a banner.
What about fellas who threaten to give female journalists a slap? 🤔

Think he would Larb!

Mind you maybe celtic will be after him if he wins league at parkhead next week!!

Won't be a first for him though as he has done it before! 😏
I'd be ultra gobsmacked if he even considered it Laudo, he knocked it back previously and look where he's got the jam tarts at the mo, it wouldn't make sense moving to Rangers, plus Corky or whatever he calls himself now would be apoplectic.

He was advised by Walter Smith at the time that due to the infighting within the club and the board in place then, that he should think very carefully about taking the job.

In fairness, I don't think he was remotely serious about what he said.

I think the sexual abuse part has been made up by whoever runs that Twitter page. He's like a PR Rep for the Union Bears.

The physical abuse of kids, and his wife, part is true though. ☹️

There was a dispute, and he went out, returning at night.

"When she was at home with her son and sister, Mrs Lynch said he came in "screaming and shouting."

"He said to her, "Get out of this house," and kicked her on the back.

"Saying, "I will show you," Lynch, she declared, took the baby into the kitchen and held him over the gas stove, declaring: "I'll gas him."

"When she attempted to get the baby, her husband kicked her on the legs.

"Mrs Lynch, who was under the stress of great emotion, stated that her husband put the baby on the floor and said: "Look at him - he's dizzy."

"He then got her by the ears and hair and, when her sister tried to push him away, he turned and kicked the sister.

"Tears streamed down Mrs Lynch's face as she was cross-examined, and she was allowed to be seated."

I think Celtic can win the title tonight because this visit to Motherwell is likely to be the only obstacle they now face.

If they beat Motherwell (no easy feat) there's no way Hearts could go to a packed and rocking Celtic Park and get a win or draw under the circumstances of a title shoot out.

Motherwell beating or drawing* with Celtic tonight is the only path to the title for Hearts, as I see it.

The tv companies must be praying both Hearts and Celtic win tonight.

*too much GD ground to make up for Celtic in that event if Hearts beat Falkirk.

😀 Seem to be backtracking a bit here dave?

Up to now you've been telling us Hearts had no chance to win this title and would fizzle out months ago!

Looks like you're hedging your bets with the doubts creeping in? 🤔

Nope. I said that when the screw started turning on them they'd buckle.

They have done.

And you know as well as me that if the Celtic board had left O'Neill in charge first time round instead of employing Nancy then there'd be no title race still in play for Hearts.

Still, it's better this way: you're little cousins are going to get maximum hurt by *almost* winning the title. Then they can get back under their rocks again for another 60 odd years.
