How do you see it going Laudo? An improvement on Martin but ultimately will fall well short is my take on it.
It's definitely a gamble, not certain that he will have the same motivation and determination that he had when he first arrived as a novice manager and had a lot to prove, saying that though this gives him a massive opportunity to rebuild his rep as a coach/manager and also gives him the high profile position that he craves.

The years since he left have been for the most part a slog and he gives the club, team and support a massive boost at the right time for going forward after the absolute deluded dross that we've had to endure recently under Martin!

Van Bronckhorst possibly did a better job. I'm surprised he's not at least 'in the conversation'. Liverpool might put a struggle up possibly.

It’s all levels though in that he can’t fail to improve on your lot now but the gap to Celtic has widened. One thing in his favour though is that Celtic aren’t even trying to better themselves though, it is all down to Rangers ineptitude off the field the last couple of years.

Yep we haven't helped ourselves, but
tbh don't think there is much of a
gap between the 'teams'

Beating 'that lot' hasn't been the problem over the last few years,it has been the lack of consistency against the so called lesser sides that has been the main issue.

celtic are there for the taking this season and if Gerrard comes in and instills a proper system and a renewed belief within the squad, with a bit of luck things can be turned around.

Be interesting to see how that lot react to an actual challenge if we can start showing consistency and Hearts keep up the start to the season they've had.

Ok, I'll go for that.

1 trophies out of 9 last time around. Maybe be realistic if he does go back. :p
I'm not 'All in' on him myself, but at this moment and because of his previous experience at the club, even with reservations, I can see a lot of positives ahead with him at the helm.

Gio continued(with SG's team) what Gerrard had started in regards to performances in europe, his run to the Final in Seville was unforgettable and he is still well liked amongst the support, he struggled domestically though and think he's better suited as a coach rather than the main man tbh.

I must say, this has there summer vibes of Gerrard 'joining' about it.

I'm still sceptical.

On another issue: with Martin out of the way the focus of fans is now on Thelwell...his name is fit to burn. 🤣
