Getting beaten by Celtic on a consistent basis is one thing. But allowing yourself to get trampled on and disrespected by them is another thing entirely.I tell you if the likes of Andy Goram and Richard Gough were around then some manners would have been put on Leigh Griffiths! But look Rangers are 5th in the table.6 points off Aberdeen in second. The big two in Scottish football are Celtic and Aberdeen right now.Hopefully Rangers can finish third at least.

Rangers had to be punished for their financial irregularities but sending them all the way down to League One was too harsh a punishment imo. It's not as if they were taking performance enhancing drugs or bribing referees. So i reject the notion that Rangers cheated their way to success. They bought in a load of quality players guy's like Brian Laudrup and Jorg Albertz to the scottish league.Wouldn't it be great to see talent like that playing in Scotland again?I honestly think that Rangers 9 in a row side would wipe the floor with the current Celtic side! But that's all in the past. The past is the only thing Rangers have right now.

Rangers weren't put down the leagues as a punishment. Rangers 2012 had to re-apply for a footballing license after they went into liquidation. Forming as a new company in order to cheat the tax man and all their other creditors such as face painting companies, other teams and local roll shops.

Had post liquidation Rangers squared off all their debts to other teams such as Hearts whom they owned money to for the purchase of Lee Wallace the season before then perhaps they would have been allowed to jump the leagues faster.

They could have done this and they could have done that.Rangers are where they are and that's a long way off being number 1 in Scottish football.

His point stands though

They weren't punished and sent down the leagues

They were a newco applying for a license, and thus the rules stipulated that they must start in the bottom tier

Getting a little tired of the Lennon goes home to Parkheid stuff in the media. Of course, they have to have a story.

I'm sure he would love to put one over on the Celts. If anyone can do it he can.

Hibs are well worth a couple of bob anyway!

Hibs are posing a problem for the Celts. 1-1 in the second half. Craig Gordon just made a world-class save too.

Hibbies are asking: Why don't we play like this every week?
