Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
most had either one or the other. i had an inter city 125 high speed (snigger) train set and was thus not interested in scalextric, kids have one but it's almost impossible to keep the cars on the track, no doubt if it was one of the £200 ones it would be a bit better.

I inherited my dad's proper one with cars like these.

It was ace.

Trainset.

Had tons of the stuff. Had to put it up in the loft a few years back though.

May have to think about getting it out again.

Wish it was as good as this though

I had both coz i was spoilt, the scalextric loses purely because the cars used to fly off the track if you went too fast, therefore good old train track wins!!

i had both and it was defo better jamming stuff in the scalectrix track and watching them fly off (plus loads of other stuff like wheel spins till the wheels melted ect,,,,,,)

train set was abit boring till i made my own level crossing with them both! some great crashes that day!!

As a kid I always wanted Scalextric but it was too expensive (in South Africa at the time). But when my son was, like, 18 months old, Scalextric acquired and CT very happy :D

Don't me wrong, but that must be massively boring surely? Watching a train go around a track with plastic sheep and [Poor language removed]. Get a Super NES or something instead you bad spotty, anorak wearing virgins.

No.

You are so wrong.

You obviously never had 50 train pile up while trying to cross tracks.

like they had super nes when we were kids, when computers arrived you had time for a play with your trains whilst the games were loading.
